According to Meu Timao, Fernando Diniz led his first Corinthians training session on Tuesday, ahead of their Copa Libertadores group opener.
Before stepping on to the pitch, he introduced himself to players and staff in the briefing room at CT Joaquim Grava. Club president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz attended.
After gym activation and a warm-up, the new coach ran possession work focused on passing, transitions and finishing. He also set up two strategic tactical drills, pausing to coach scenarios from play.
Diniz was formally unveiled in a press conference on Tuesday at the training ground. He will have only one further session on Wednesday morning before the squad travel to Argentina.
Corinthians have 50 players registered for the first phase. Forwards Memphis Depay, Gui Negão and Kaio César remain in the medical department and are not expected to travel.
His contract was published in the BID on Tuesday. Group E also features Peñarol of Uruguay and Independiente Santa Fe of Colombia, and Corinthians start their bid for a second title at 21:00 on Thursday away to Platense at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López.
