Ferran Torres marked his first Champions League outing for PSG with a hat-trick in Wednesday’s 6-1 win over Slovan Bratislava, a performance that etched his name into the club’s history.
L'Équipe notes that his display has already entered the club’s Champions League annals. He struck in the 31st, 47th and 57th minutes, becoming the first PSG player to hit a hat-trick on his Champions League debut for the club.
The Spain forward, 26, now has six career hat-tricks. The previous five came against Germany for Spain in 2020, for Manchester City against Newcastle in 2021, and three with Barcelona between 2024 and 2025, twice against Betis in La Liga and once against Valencia in the Copa del Rey.
After only four appearances and 200 minutes for PSG since arriving this summer, he already has five goals. He is only the second player in PSG history to reach at least five goals in his first four matches in all competitions, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Torres is the seventh PSG player to score a Champions League hat-trick in the competition proper, following Zlatan Ibrahimovic, four against Anderlecht in 2013, Layvin Kurzawa, three against Anderlecht in 2017, Neymar, three against Red Star Belgrade in 2018 and Istanbul Basaksehir in 2020, Kylian Mbappé, three against Club Bruges in 2019 and three against Barça in 2021, Ousmane Dembélé at Stuttgart in 2025, and Vitinha, three against Tottenham in 2025. Rai also hit three against Steaua Bucharest in August 1997, though that came in qualifying, not the main competition.
