Barcelona increasingly accept Ferran Torres could leave, with PSG’s move turning a likely renewal into doubt. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, talks with his camp are planned, but positions are far apart on term and salary with one year left.

Renewal talks were delayed until Robert Lewandowski’s decision. Barça intended to sign a first-choice centre-forward and keep only Lewandowski or Ferran, and although his exit cleared the way, they pushed discussions to September to avoid a clause paying about €8 million to City.

Both sides were initially keen, but his form this season and at the World Cup attracted suitors. Premier League interest exists, yet PSG have tabled a near-unbeatable package, leaving a settled Ferran unsure. The club’s doubts and preference for Julián Álvarez as No 9 have told.

With PSG’s offer on the table, Barça will try to persuade him, but their stance is unchanged. Renewal would mean frozen wages and the same role, so inferior terms, and any stay would require a significant effort from the player.

The decision now rests with Ferran. He has contributed despite limited starts and is influential among Spain internationals. Hansi Flick values those bonds and wants him to remain, but PSG’s push and Luis Enrique’s presence are compelling.

PSG have not spoken to Barça yet, awaiting the player’s OK. If he accepts, Barça will push for at least €50 million, their valuation, though Paris believe the final year on his deal favours them. If Ferran steps forward, an agreement would follow quickly.
