Nantes centre-back and Cameroon international Jean-Charles Castelletto (28) is attracting interest from Feyenoord and Besiktas, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The Dutch and Turkish sides have reportedly submitted a bid to Nantes. However, Les Canaris have reportedly rejected both offers and are currently not entertaining the prospect of selling their centre-back, despite having allegedly set a €5m price tag for the 28-year-old. Castelletto joined Nantes from Stade Brestois three years ago as a free agent. Last year, the Cameroon international put pen to paper over a contract extension, tying him to the Loire-Atlantique club until 2026.
Castelletto is said to be considering his options for this summer. The Cameroon international experienced an exhausting season. He played in the 2022 World Cup with the Indomitable Lions and even scored against Serbia in a frantic 3-3 draw in the group stage – his very first international goal. He then returned to Nantes where he went on to play the Europa League playoffs against Juventus (1-1, 0-3) and the Coupe de France final against Toulouse (1-5). Les Canaris eventually saved their Ligue 1 status on the last day courtesy of a narrow 1-0 home win against Angers.
