Feyenoord head coach Robin van Persie has decided not to include Gaoussou Diarra in his squad for the second leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
The Malian international did not travel with his teammates to Istanbul. The Dutch club has not communicated the reasons behind his absence.
Having arrived this summer from Istanbulspor, the 22-year-old has already made two appearances for Feyenoord Rotterdam. He even played 29 minutes in the first leg, which ended in a 2-1 victory.
The Rotterdam side are hoping to build on their first-leg result and keep their dream alive of reaching the Champions League group stage for the second year in a row.
