According to 1908.NL, Feyenoord are considering making a move for Crystal Palace defender Chris Richards in January. The 23-year-old has struggled for game time at Selhurst Park following his move from Bayern Munich last year. A loan move to De Kuip could soon be an option for the 14-time USA international.
Chris Richards can play in the centre of defence or as full-back. The former FC Dallas and Hoffenheim player has featured just four times in the Premier league so far this season, starting just one of those matches. Richards is reportedly on Feyenoord’s shortlist, and a move could be beneficial for his development at this stage of his career.
Feyenoord aren’t the only club interested in the defender. Fellow Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have also considered making a move for Chris Richards. The two sides could compete for his signature in January. A loan move with the option to buy could be on the cards, but Crystal Palace will want to make back the €12m that they spent on him in the summer of 2022.
