Feyenoord showing interest in former Watford winger | OneFootball

1908.nl are reporting that Feyenoord are showing interest in winger Matheus Martins. The forward currently plays for Botafogo in Brazil and Brazilian sources are suggested that Feyenoord have contacted the player in recent days to explore the possibility of a move to the Eredivisie.

The 22-year-old Martins began his career with Fluminense before moving to Europe in 2023. This move saw him join Udinese, although he never made a senior appearance for the Serie A side. Instead, Martins was loaned out to Watford, where he one and a half years. In that time, the winger played 49 games for Watford, scoring six goals and providing three assists. He returned to Udinese after the spell with Watford before immediately moving back to Brazil with Botafogo in 2024.

Since then, the winger has gone on to play 54 games for the side, scoring four goals and providing one assist. Martins was part of the side that won the Brazilian Serie A in 2024 and the Copa Libertadores.
