Feyenoord are monitoring Chivas goalkeeper Raúl Rangel as they prepare a summer reshuffle in goal.
According to Goal.com, the 26-year-old is on the De Kuip scouting list and a new goalkeeper is seen as almost certain this summer.
Justin Bijlow will depart permanently for Genoa at the end of the season. Steven Benda’s contract is expiring, while Timon Wellenreuther, Liam Bossin and Mannou Berger are entering their final year.
Rangel stands 1.90 metres tall and is currently Mexico’s first-choice, with 11 caps.
He is under contract at Chivas until mid-2028 and is valued at €6 million by Transfermarkt, so any deal would require a significant outlay.
Feyenoord have not yet made a serious move for Rangel, though that could change in the coming period.
The club may not want to wait long, with Rangel considered to have a strong chance of going to the World Cup. He has kept 34 clean sheets in 100 matches for Chivas.
