The French Football Federation announced the designs for France’s 2026 World Cup home and away kits on Monday morning. First outings are set against Brazil on Thursday at 21:00 and Colombia on Sunday at 21:00.
The home strip is midnight blue with a classic white polo collar, a red button placket and metallic copper finishes on the crest and Nike swoosh. Repeating lightning motifs run across the shirt, with white shorts and red socks completing the look. France will wear it for the first time against Colombia on 29 March at 21:00.
The away shirt, named Liberté, comes in a verdigris shade inspired by the statue France gifted to the United States 140 years ago. It also carries copper-toned crest and swoosh details, and is paired with green shorts and green socks. The public will see it on Thursday against Brazil at 21:00.
At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, France used only their home kit. This time they should use the away too, notably against Norway, given Erling Haaland’s side have sets in their flag colours and an all-black option.
The home name and number set will be white in an angular typeface, while the away uses copper engraving-style lettering. Tricolour detailing appears on woven sleeve and short labels.
