It was a busy afternoon of competitive Celtic debuts at Petershill, with six new signings making their first appearance in green and white.

With five debuts, and one returning face in Chloe Arthur, there was plenty of new season excitement on show in the 2026/27 opener, particularly after the Hoops’ performance, which saw the Ghirls come from a goal behind to seal all three points in a 2-1 win over Glasgow City.

Two new faces who played their part from the start in that victory were Fi Morgan, and Hannah Jordan.

It was an instant impact from the pairing on their Celtic debuts, with Hannah Jordan picking up the Player of the Match award and Fi Morgan causing havoc for both goals in the Glasgow City box.
