Fiel spare centre-backs, Garro criticised after Corinthians lose Dérbi 1-0

Corinthians were beaten 1-0 by Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena on Sunday night in the seventh round of the Paulistão, and home fans dished out harsh ratings.

According to Meu Timao, the top marks went to Gabriel Paulista with 6.7 and midfielder Breno Bidon on 6.3, with Gustavo Henrique completing the leading trio on 6.2.

At the other end, Rodrigo Garro received 1.4 after losing possession in the move that led to the Palmeiras goal. He was followed by Pedro Raul on 1.5 and Memphis Depay on 1.9, the latter missing a penalty that could have opened the scoring for Corinthians.

Further low grades included Yuri Alberto on 2.0 and Vitinho on 2.1, while goalkeeper Hugo Souza was given 3.5.

Corinthians now look to reset. They return on Thursday 12 February against Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena, with kick-off at 20:00, in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
