Giovanni Reyna grew up in a football-mad family as the son of two US internationals and showed exceptional ability at a young age. He took his first steps in the New York City FC academy before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2019, where he took part in a trip to the USA with the BVB first-team squad at the age of 16. The American became a professional footballer with the Black & Yellows and won the likes of the 2021 DFB-Pokal with Dortmund. That same year, the attacking player also won the CONCACAF Nations League with the national team, for whom he made his debut in 2020 (click here to read an in-depth profile of Gio Reyna).

Cole Campbell has been wearing Black & Yellow since 2022. The son of an Icelander and an American, he was born in Houston, Texas, and made his professional debut in Iceland at the age of 15, before moving to Dortmund in 2022. The attacking player impressed for BVB at U17 and U19 level, notching 18 goals and 19 assists in 52 appearances. In July 2024, the US U19 international signed his first professional contract with BVB. Campbell comes from a football-loving family – his mother played for Iceland's national team and his sisters Chloe and Caitlyn also play for BVB (click here to read an in-depth profile of Cole Campbell).
