Angola will host reigning world champions Argentina this Friday in a friendly match organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the country's independence.

The match is set for Friday, November 14, 2025, at the 11 de Novembro Stadium in Luanda—a venue named after this symbolic date of independence.

Currently sitting fourth in Group D of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Angolan national team is gearing up for AFCON 2025, where they'll compete in Group B alongside Egypt, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

As for Argentina, they've already booked their ticket to the next World Cup after dominating the CONMEBOL qualifiers and are coming off a resounding 6-0 victory over Puerto Rico.

While Lionel Messi will be present, several other stars will be missing as they failed to complete the yellow fever vaccination procedures in time. These include Nahuel Molina, Julian Álvarez, and Giuliano Simeone. Enzo Fernandez is sidelined with injury.
