Brazil 1-2 Norway

Attacking Score: Erling Haaland

There is no surprise that the match-winner claimed the game's highest Attacking Score, with the Norway striker registering an extremely impressive 8.32 thanks to his decisive late double.

He first beat Alisson with a powerful close range header before rifling an excellent low strike into the corner from outside the area for what proved to be the winner.

Creativity Score: Vinícius Júnior

It may not have been the Brazilian's day as he ultimately ended up on the losing side but he was still the game's top creative influence with a score of 8.29.

He was his side's main attacking outlet, constantly driving forward and contributing to their creation of chances but unfortunately for his side, they were often met with some inspired goalkeeping.

Defending Score: David Møller Wolfe

The best Defending Score of the game went to Norway's left-back for a performance which earned him a 7.31.

He regained possession six times, made three clearances, three tackles and one important block and limited Brazil's threat down their right flank.

Mexico 2-3 England

Attacking Score: Jude Bellingham

England's biggest attacking threat was the Real Madrid playmaker who deservedly earned his score of 8.70 thanks to his vital first half brace.

He scored with two opportunistic, close range finishes in the space of 99 seconds, first diving to head home and then turning in a low cross from the right to set his side on their way to victory.

Creativity Score: Jude Bellingham

Bellingham didn't just register the best Attacking Score of the thriller against Mexico, he also topped the back-and-forth contest's Creativity Score, registering a 7.87.

His line-breaking runs, progressive carries of the ball and continued willingness to take on defenders led to him being involved in several big moments in the final third for England.

Defending Score: Elliot Anderson

The newly-signed Manchester City midfielder showed why so much money was spent on him this summer with an outstanding all-action display in the Mexico City Stadium engine room, earning him a game-high 6.67 Defending Score.

Particularly when England were down to 10 men, his work rate and willingness to do the dirty work were a big contributor to Thomas Tuchel's side seeing things out and booking a quarter-final showdown with Norway.

At the FIFA World Cup 2026™, FIFA launched a new individual player ranking system based on data collected during matches. The FIFA Power Rankings provide objective, data-driven insight into player performance.

All outfield players will receive a score between 0-10 in three categories (attacking, creativity and defending). Goalkeepers will be scored in two categories: in possession and defending the goal. A ‘Power Ranking Classification’ will be produced after each match round, showing the top 100 players in each category. The Power Ranking is considered as a measure of match and tournament performance: each player receives a score for each match and for their overall performance in the tournament.
