The list of The Best trophy winners is being revealed one by one. The grand ceremony will take place this Tuesday evening in Doha, Qatar. After announcing the name of the best goalkeeper of the year, FIFA has just unveiled the winner of the Puskás award for the most beautiful goal. This honor goes to Santiago Montiel, the Argentine winger from Independiente.
He is the man who scored the decisive penalty for Argentina against France in the 2022 World Cup final. On May 11, in an Argentine league match, he netted a stunning overhead kick from outside the box against Independiente Rivadavia (1-0), a strike that captured the imagination of football fans everywhere.
