Who is playing today? 👀

Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina face off with each side looking to win their first game of World Cup 26™.

Both sides drew their opening fixtures 1-1, the Swiss frustratingly conceding an injury-time equaliser against Qatar, while Bosnia and Herzegovina were also guilty of throwing away a win late on.

They shipped a late deflected leveller against hosts Canada in Toronto to leave this group wide open with two games to play.

Players to watch 🔥

Switzerland's attackers will be the men to watch in this one after their opening game frustrations which saw them produce 26 shots (their most ever recorded in a World Cup™ fixture) and they must be more clinical this time.

Breel Embolo did open his account from the penalty spot and will be the focal point once more but the likes of Dan Ndoye and Rubén Vargas will also have a point to prove in LA.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, talismanic striker Edin Džeko failed to see any game time in their opener but Jovo Lukić made the most of his opportunity with a first ever World Cup™ goal.

In a tough midfield contest given the Swiss quality in the engine room, they will also need Benjamin Tahirović to be at his best.

Must-watch video 🎥

The Bosnian takeover in Toronto was something special.

Fun facts 📊

  • This is the first competitive meeting between these nations, with their only previous fixture being a 2016 friendly in Zurich which the visitors won 2-0 thanks to goals from Džeko and Miralem Pjanić
  • Switzerland's last five FIFA World Cup™ games against fellow UEFA sides have produced 23 goals - an average of 4.6 per game
  • With each of their last six fixtures finishing level, Bosnia and Herzegovina could become the first European nation ever to draw seven consecutive games

Our prediction 🔮

  1. Switzerland 2-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina
