With the Copa America final also on that same day.

Some interesting movement when it comes to these now updated FIFA World rankings.

Two countries stand out as the very biggest winners and losers, judged by how many places they have moved up or down.

Venezuela the biggest risers, with the help of former Newcastle United striker Salomon Rondon, they have moved up 17 places to 37th, after getting to the quarter-finals of the Copa America.

Dropping 13 places in the FIFA World rankings are the Czech Republic, falling from 34th to 47th after finishing bottom of their group and managing just one point from three games at the Euros.

The top two in the FIFA World rankings remain unchanged.

Argentina still at the top, adding winning the Copa America to their December 2022 World Cup triumph.

France stay second despite a semi-final exit to Spain at the Euros.

Winning the Euros, Spain have climbed five places from eighth to third after that 2-1 victory over England.

Meanwhile, despite having won 1-0 at Wembley less than four months ago, Bruno Guimaraes and Brazil have swapped places with England.

England now fourth and Brazil fifth in the FIFA World rankings. Brazil was eliminated at the Copa America quarter-final stage, with of course England the beaten Euros finalists.

This is how the top 20 now looks in the FIFA World rankings – 18 July 2024:

Countries not competing at either the Copa America or Euros, seeing their ranking points remain the same.

Lower down, outside the top 20,  Scotland has fallen nine places to 48th, while Turkey was the biggest risers of those in the Euros, climbing 16 places to 26th after reaching the quarter-finals.
