Filipe Luis confident of Atletico Madrid return

Filipe Luis expects to eventually return to Atletico Madrid in a coaching capacity.

The Brazilian veteran is still with Flamengo, though has plans to return to Europe.

He told El Larguero: “I have played 50 games this season and I felt very good.

“I closed a wonderful cycle at Atlético. I was in one of the best Atleticos in history. Now I close the loop on my computer as a child.

"I'm from Atleti, of course, but playing for the team I was a fan of when I was little is very nice. That has given me an extra life in football. I had to reinvent myself and I am very much alive.

"Everything is going for me to retire at Flamengo and then continue my career as a coach. I believe that my third stage at Atlético will be in the coaching staff when Cholo (Diego Simeone) calls me."
