Filipe Luís names Flamengo squad to face São Paulo, Arrascaeta included

Filipe Luís has named Flamengo’s squad for the Brasileirão opener, with Arrascaeta included for Wednesday’s match against São Paulo at Morumbis.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the midfielder trained with the group in recent days despite not featuring this season, which led to his inclusion.

Flamengo again prioritise winning the Brasileirão, as they did in 2025, so expectations are of a full-strength side for the opener.

Some players are still not fully fit. Saúl recently underwent heel surgery and has no timetable for a return.

Kick-off is at 21:30 Brasília time, with live coverage on Rede Globo free-to-air and on Premiere via pay-per-view.
