At Blau-Weiß on Saturday

We only have three more matches before the end of the year, and this weekend we're playing our third consecutive away match in all competitions in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. Our lads will be back in action on a Saturday for the first time in a long while (since September), when we face FC Blau-Weiß Linz away at 17:00 on St. Nicholas Day.

The Blue and Whites are currently experiencing a difficult spell. Their last points came at the beginning of October with a 1-0 win against Austria Vienna, but since then they have suffered defeat after defeat, resulting in them sliding to the bottom of the table. A few days ago, the team parted ways with coach Mitja Mörec, and interim coach Andreas Gahleitner will be in the dugout for our match.

The Linz side have already shown this season that they know how to perform the plucky underdog role, as they held us to a 2-2 draw at home as two goals from Ratkov canceled out a brace from Seidl. The Upper Austrians also possess a considerable amount of clinical finishing in Ronivaldo and Shon Weissman.

The good news for us includes the fact that we'll be going into this weekend's match as league leaders again, after Sturm Graz lost their rescheduled game against WSG Tirol 1-3 on Wednesday evening. Now it's up to us to solidify top spot by getting back on the winning track!

First of all, it's important to note that the league is extremely close this year and anything can happen on any matchday. Every encounter is a tough battle, and we've had to learn that the hard way. It would be very dangerous for us to think we'll have an easy game on Saturday. Quite the opposite is true, because we're facing a team that, due to the coaching change, is somewhat of an unknown quantity and will do everything to get points. At the same time, we know that our games in Linz have always been difficult. So, we're expecting a tricky task.

We're finding it hard to win games at the moment. We are lacking a little bit. That's why we need to put even more into the match against Blau-Weiß Linz and play with even more focus and aggression. We absolutely want to get the three points and stay near the top of the table. Even though we've had a rather tough time in Linz so far, a victory is our clear objective.
