The BVB squad will head to the airport in the afternoon (local time) to fly back to New Jersey, where head coach Niko Kovac’s team already played their group-stage match against Fluminense. Potential FIFA Club World Cup semi-final and final appearances would take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Should Dortmund defeat Real Madrid, they would continue to be based there.
