According to a report from Alfredo Pedulla, it has been learned that Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign promising centre-back Eman Kospo.
The 18-year-old defender will soon become Fiorentina’s second defensive signing of the summer, as the two clubs have now sealed the deal.
Sources close to the matter confirm that the agreement includes a sell-on clause, meaning Barcelona will benefit if Fiorentina sell Kospo in the future.
Both clubs are currently finalising the paperwork to complete the transfer, with only minor formalities left before it becomes official.
Eman Kospo caught attention this past season with his performances for Barcelona’s U19 team.
He made 12 appearances in the 2024/25 campaign, including three matches in the UEFA Youth League. His steady rise did not go unnoticed by the Barcelona coaching staff.
Earlier in the season, Kospo’s development was so impressive that new first-team coach Hansi Flick called him up to train with the senior squad.
Being invited to train alongside Barcelona’s main stars at just 17 years old highlighted how highly rated he was within the club.
Despite this early recognition, Kospo’s career will now continue away from Camp Nou. Fiorentina have been tracking the young defender for several months and have now moved quickly to secure his services.
The Italian side sees Kospo as a long-term project and an important addition to their defensive line.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have chosen to include a sell-on clause in the deal, leaving the door open to benefit from any future move the player makes.
For Kospo, this transfer marks the beginning of a new chapter, as he looks to take the next step in his career with Fiorentina.
