Fiorentina close to sealing Josip Brekalo move | OneFootball

Fiorentina are now close to sealing a move for Wolfsburg’s Josip Brekalo, who was on loan at Torino last season.

At one point, Brekalo seemed very close to joining newboys Monza but the move didn’t go through. Now, it seems as if Fiorentina have all but sealed the move for the Croatian.

Sky Italia claim that La Viola’s contacts with Wolfsburg are continuing constantly to complete the deal, which could well go through in the two or three days. Monza are still in the chase and Spanish side Getafe are also keen but Fiorentina are trying to beat competition and sign the player as soon as they can.

They are also willing to hand Wolfsburg a percentage of the resale fee, if Brekalo ends up leaving Fiorentina in the future for another club. Fiorentina have also decided that they will not sell Nico Gonzalez despite offers from Leicester City and they are more focused on improving their squad.
