Fiorentina are weighing up an ambitious move for Enzo Maresca, having opened initial lines of communication with the Italian coach.
TMW reports that sporting director Fabio Paratici held an informal call with Maresca to outline the club’s long-term project, with the team currently steering clear of relegation.
There is internal acceptance that landing the former Chelsea manager would be close to impossible, yet the Tuscan side still intend to assess whether a deal could be feasible.
Maresca’s immediate priority remains a potential move to Manchester City, where he is regarded as a leading candidate to succeed Pep Guardiola.
He is reportedly intrigued by managing Napoli or Juventus, but the stability of Antonio Conte and Luciano Spalletti in those respective roles has made a Premier League return his most likely path, with Manchester United previously mentioned as an option.
