The 20-year-old is currently on loan at RB Leipzig, where he has only collected 297 minutes across all competitions this term.

Reporter Philipp Hinze claims on X social media that the Bundesliga side have already agreed to cut the defender’s loan spell short.

The Tuscans must reach an agreement with Aston Villa now, but they are running out of time as the winter transfer window shuts today at 20:00 CET (19:00 GMT), so in less than one hour.

Fiorentina have been busy in the January transfer window as they surprisingly found themselves fighting for survival in the first part of the campaign.

The Tuscans are currently in the relegation zone, but just one point below safety.

Fiorentina confirmed another defensive reinforcement earlier today, welcoming Daniele Rugani from Juventus.
