First Majestoso of 2026 ranks among Neo Química Arena’s most lucrative derbies | OneFootball

Corinthians’ 1-1 draw with São Paulo produced one of the Neo Química Arena’s most lucrative derbies, with 44,405 paying spectators generating R$ 3.286.557,60 on Sunday.

According to Meu Timao, the takings were the ninth highest for a derby at the stadium and the fifth largest among Majestosos.

In attendance terms, it was the seventh biggest Majestoso since the Neo Química Arena was founded in 2024. Across meetings with Palmeiras and Santos, it ranks 17th for attendance.

The stadium’s record derby revenue remains the 2019 Paulista final, a 2-1 win over São Paulo worth R$ 5.014.884,00. The biggest Majestoso crowd came in the 2023 Copa do Brasil semi-final first leg, another 2-1 victory with 46,517 paying fans.

Despite the million-plus gross, Corinthians will receive only R$ 2 million, with a little over R$ 1.2 million allocated to the STJD after last year’s fan sanction was converted into a fine.

The Fiel’s backing has driven an average close to 40,000 at the Arena in recent seasons. The ground will be packed again on 5 February for the Paulista meeting with Capivariano.
