FC Bayern are pressing ahead with their efforts to sign Ismael Saibari. According to information from Dutch transfer insider Rik Elfrink, the Munich club have now submitted their first concrete offer for the PSV Eindhoven attacker. However, an agreement is not yet in sight

The German record champions‘ initial offer, including possible bonus payments, amounts to around 48 million euros, a figure that underlines the seriousness of Bayern’s interest, but does not yet meet the expectations of PSV’s management

According to Elfrink, Eindhoven would not immediately accept the offer in this form. The Dutch champions continue to value Saibari significantly higher and are hoping for a transfer fee approaching the €60 million mark

Advisor actively involved in negotiations

Particularly interesting: According to Elfrink, Saibari’s advisor Ali Dursun was spotted in Eindhoven on Tuesday. The player advisor is currently said to be playing a central role in the transfer poker and is actively mediating between the two clubs

Dursun is regarded as an experienced negotiator and could now try to bring the two clubs‘ differing ideas closer together. The fact that he is there in person is seen in the Netherlands as a sign that the talks are entering a decisive phase

Bayern remains true to its line

The first offer is in line with Munich’s current transfer strategy: the club had already defined a clear financial pain threshold for Anthony Gordon and ultimately withdrew from the race when the transfer fee became too high

Bayern do not appear to be prepared to pay any price for Saibari either, with Max Eberl and Christoph Freund still under pressure to meet the financial targets set by the supervisory board while at the same time strengthening the squad in a targeted manner

Despite the remaining differences, there is still optimism that an agreement can be reached. The agreement in principle with the players‘ side is already seen as an important step. Saibari himself is said to prefer a move to Munich

The coming days should now show whether Bayern and PSV can agree on the transfer fee. With the active intervention of advisor Ali Dursun, the transfer seems to be entering a hot phase. For FC Bayern, Saibari would be one of the most important transfers this summer after the Gordon deal fell through.
