The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have at last reached an agreement with youngster Pau Prim, over the renewal of his contract.

That’s according to Relevo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.

Work has long been ongoing behind the scenes to tie Prim down to fresh terms in Catalunya’s capital.

The 18-year-old, for his part, has long been considered one of the standout up-and-coming talents on Barcelona’s books, even drawing comparisons with club legend Sergio Busquets owing to his profile.

In turn, it came as an increasing source of concern that, until this week, Prim had not renewed his expiring contract with the club.

Amid interest in the services of the Spanish youth international on the part of a whole host of clubs across the continent, Prim and his entourage had seemingly been hesitant to extend his Blaugrana terms beyond next summer.

As alluded to above, though, this week, a breakthrough was found in talks.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘According to what we have been able to find out, the agreement to renew his contract has already been closed.’

Not only that, but it is added that the intention of Barcelona first-team boss Hansi Flick is ‘to count on Prim for next season’.
