Ibrahim Mayele turns down Al Ahly and edges closer to Saudi Arabia

The Congolese striker Fiston Ibrahim Mayele of Pyramids FC continues to shine when it matters most. Last Saturday, he netted the decisive goal against Renaissance de Berkane (1-0), securing his team’s very first CAF Super Cup title.
Since joining Pyramids FC in the summer of 2023, Mayele has scored in four finals and helped the club clinch four historic trophies: the Egypt Cup, the CAF Champions League, the Confederation Cup, and the CAF Super Cup.
With Pyramids, Ibrahim Mayele has played 94 matches, scored 47 goals, and delivered 9 assists, tallying an impressive 56 direct goal contributions.
According to African media reports, the 31-year-old striker has turned down an official offer from Al Ahly and has also refused to renew his contract with Pyramids.
As reported by “Africa Foot,” Mayele is demanding an annual salary of $4 million over two seasons, plus a $1 million signing bonus, while Al Ahly only offered $3 million.
The "Félins" striker is also said to have received a very lucrative offer from a Saudi club, with a proposed salary of $7 million, making the Saudi Pro League his most likely destination.
