Five Arsenal stars make PFA Team of the Year after superb season

Arsenal were superb last season as they won the Premier League title despite strong competition from Manchester City until the end of the campaign.

It was not an easy season, and they experienced many ups and downs, but the Gunners ultimately managed to make it happen and became one of the teams to beat on the continent after also reaching the Champions League final.

They did not have one of the top scorers in either competition in their squad, but there were several standout performers among their players, and Arsenal stars have been rewarded with places in the Premier League PFA Team of the Year.

Arsenal Dominate PFA Team

They dominated the team, as the Daily Mail reports that five of the starting XI were Mikel Arteta’s men, who were simply better than every other player in their position, although Bruno Fernandes won the main award.

The report names David Raya, Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel and Declan Rice as the Arsenal stars who made the first XI in the PFA Team of the Year.

Their inclusion reflects the quality Arsenal showed throughout the campaign, with the five players playing important roles in helping the Gunners secure the Premier League title and reach the Champions League final.

Arsenal Stars Set for More Recognition

Arsenal remain the best team in England this season and will likely have more players in this team when the season ends. Their current strength means there could be further recognition for Arteta’s players if they maintain their performances.

It will also be interesting to see whether one of their stars wins the Player of the Year award. Although Fernandes claimed the main individual award this time, Arsenal have several players capable of competing for such recognition.

The Gunners will hope their players can continue performing at the highest level throughout the campaign. Their representation in the PFA Team of the Year underlines how important their standout performers were to their success last season.

With Arsenal once again competing at the top level, their players will have another opportunity to earn individual recognition while helping the club pursue further success across their competitions.
