And with that, we say goodnight. Try and get some rest after that madness.
Has to be?
You have to feel for Jimenez. Three or four solid chances, and the penalty goal, but it wasn't enough.
Buckle up for a modern football thriller next.
Fans and the England squad belting out Wonderwall. Tons of photographers capture the moment and kind of ruin in.
For real, that was a World Cup all timer.
Where does it rank on your list of best matches ever?
Dynamic duo helped them do just that.
That's now two of the co-hosts eliminated at the Round of 16.
FULL-TIME: Mexico 2-3 England
The Azteca has been conquered! Co-hosts Mexico fall as 10-man England prevail by the skin of their teeth.
One inch away for Mexico as the ball rolls past the post!
Mexico are running out of time. Referee has handed them an extra 11. Let's see what they can do with it.
It's cross after cross from Mexico, England are just holding on here.
Mexico want a penalty here but it's not going there way. Pickford now punches a ball away. We have five minute or so to go.
It's unwanted World Cup history for Kane tonight.
CHANCE!
Alvarez instantly puts his head in his hands. He's left unmarked in the box but mistimes his header for what could have been the equaliser.
Mexico are pulling out all the stops here for the final 12 minutes to keep their World Cup alive. Meanwhile, England are ready to park the bus.
Here's a look at the penalty Kane gave away.
Friendly reminder: this is the Round of 16 only.
We have a hydration break now. Here's hoping the drama slows down (jokes!)
GOAL! Mexico 2-3 England
It's Jimenez who gets the best of Pickford; this time, it's at the World Cup instead of the Premier League. We have game on.
PENALTY!
VAR gets involved again; this time, it's Kane who makes the error, connecting directly with Brian Gutierrez's leg instead of the ball. Spot-kick to the hosts!
And the drama continues!
If you're just tuning in, this is already a World Cup classic.
30 minutes still to go.
GOAL! Mexico 1-3 England
It's the big man once again for the Three Lions. Kane with his sixth of the tournament despite sending the ball the same way as a diving Rangel.
PENALTY!
Minutes after the red card, Gordon goes flying into the box and is taken out. Referee awards a spot kick, Mexico are fuming.
History making but on the wrong side.
It's Stones on and Saka off.
Note, this is the fourth red card awarded at the Azteca this World Cup.
RED CARD
Oh and here's why. Quansah came in studs up, and the call was initially missed, but VAR intervened, and it's a direct red card. England down to 10.
There appears to be a bit of a fight around the touchline now. Unsure what's going on as the camera moves away but commentary says both benches are getting into it.
CHANCE!
After Kane and Saka see a rolling ball go beyond them both, Nico O'Reilly sees his effort hit off the woodwork. Inches away.
Look back at Mexico's ability to dominate the first half, they registered an impressive feat of their own.
They had 92% pass accuracy against England, their highest mark in a first half of a World Cup match dating back to 1966.
Mexico have interestingly taken off their captain and on comes Ederson Alvarez.
SECOND HALF UNDERWAY
Buckle up...
Some stat here!
HALF-TIME: Mexico 1-2 England
And breathe. This game has had it all so far.
HUGE CHANCE
Following his brace, Bellingham is the first to react and somehow pokes the ball away from Montes who was a foot or two in front of the goal.
Here's a look at the save...
CHANCE AGAIN!
It's a bullet header from Jimenez again and a soaring Pickford jumps to the top left of the goal. The ball is pushed over the bar.
CHANCE!
Oh, Jimenez will want this back. He scuffs a shot wide right of Pickford for what could have been the equaliser. Golden opportunity there for Mexico's go-to in front of goal.
And at this rate, he's certainly going to break it!
We can't catch our breath. Can you?
GOAL! Mexico 1-2 England
Okay hooooold on. The co-hosts have one for themselves as the stadium erupts.
It's Julian Quinones who pulls one back after smashing the ball home from near the penalty spot following a free-kick.
Real Madrid fans will love this.
Official confirmation coming in at 99 seconds for Bellingham's brace.
GOAL! Mexico 0-2 England
And he's done it again! Only a minute and a half between the two goals as Bellingham crashes into the box and nutmegs a defender while scoring to double the lead.
OH MY WORD!!!
GOAL! - Mexico 0-1 England
And patient they were! Rice picks up the ball after a spell of Mexico possession and England break. All bodies move to Kane, leaving Bellingham unmarked at the back post.
Mexico are moving the ball extremely fluidly, left to right and in and around the box as they try to find a way in. England are sitting back, patiently waiting.
We don't think Kane has had a touch of the ball...
Now it's Luis Romo with a strike from distance on the right but it skies into the stands.
Some early passing stats for all of you nerds out there (us).
Barcelona's new star Gordon is really showing why he was signed by the LaLiga club. Another blazing run down the left, but he can't finish.
HYDRATION BREAK
First pause in play. We're not really sure how 20 minutes have flown by, but they have. Players back on the pitch in a minute.
Here's a look at that save from Pickford.
SAVE!
It's that man Jimenez with a pin-point header at the near post and Pickford gets down quick enough to save it.
Gordon, Saka and Jimenez all getting involved early on here.
It sounds absolutely deafening on television, meaning we can't even imagine what it's actually like inside the Azteca.
And it's already getting chippy, Rice is booked for this challenge less than one minute into the game.
KICK OFF!
And here we go.
Awwww, the three lions. ❤️
A stat to forget for Pickford. Just how important will Raul Jimenez be for the co-hosts?
A reminder of what Mr. Decisive can do on the pitch
What does it mean for Mexico tonight?
And by holding up, we mean passable.
It appears the weather is holding up. We're 30 minutes away from Mexico hosting England. Let us know who you think will reach the quarters in the comments.
The Azteca is a football fortress, no matter who Mexico are playing.

Crouchy is having a laugh about the weather!
Wow, some scenes in the capital of Norway!
What can these two do on the pitch now that they are back in the starting XI?
AG x BS.–
Rain won't deter any host fans, it seems!
A reminder of what the scenes looked like an hour ago.
BREAKING: The storm has officially proved to be too much outside the Azteca and kick off is delayed one hour.
Haaland. What do they feed him?!
An update on the weather front, David Ornstein from The Athletic reports the match is set to kickoff at it's scheduled time despite rain and thunderous conditions.
Meanwhile, Mexico's lineup is also in. No changes for the co-hosts.
Notable changes see Quansah at right-back position as England battle injuries. Gordon and Saka also return to the starting line up.
Storm or no storm, we have the England line up coming your way.
The scenes in Mexico City however suggest the kickoff might be delayed as a storm is rolling in above the Azteca. Official news coming soon, we anticipate.
This might be the end for Neymar and the national team. Heartbreaking scenes from the No. 10 at full-time.
Vikings are five for five!

Surely, that wins the match for Norway...

You know the cliché, big players show up in big matches...
Well that's what we've just witnessed in New York New Jersey Stadium!
Erling Haaland scores a tremendous, leaping header to give Norway the lead with just ten minutes remaining against Brazil.
Big save from Allison to protect his near-post from a Andreas Schjelderup strike.
In a match crying out for a goal, you have to wonder if Erling Haaland will be the man to get it...
Ancelotti makes two substitutions, including the introduction on Neymar Jr., as both sides return from the second-half hydration break.
Haaland has had two chances at the back-post in quick succession, but he was not able to get a touch on either of them.
Moments later, Nyland produces another brilliant save to deny an Endrick shot which was ultimately offside.
Rayan unleashes a strong strike on the half-volley but Ørjan Nyland is equal to it!
...And just seconds after coming on, Endrick squanders a huge 1v1 chance against the goalkeeper!
Endrick missed this chance to score his first World Cup goal just moments after coming on as a sub 😬–
After winning Brazil a penalty in the first-half, Matheus Cunha has come off for Endrick.
Things have calmed down a bit as Norway begin the second-half with a prolonged period of possession.
Norway are making two half-time substitutions, including Oscar Bobb for Alexander Sørloth.
Some impressive first-half performances on both sides.
HALF-TIME
After an energetic and trigger-happy first-half, it's goalless at the break.
Another big chance for Norway as the ball falls kindly to Ødegaard.
However, Allison rushes out to make a low, crucial save.
A big chance for Vinícius, and an even bigger save from Nyland to deny Brazil's star man from close-range.
Erling Haaland tries a deft side-footed volley which loops into the arms of Alisson.
Martin Ødegaard fires with power, however his low-driven effort can only find the side-netting.
Good chance for Brazil as Gabriel Martinelli fires a pass across the face of goal, but the keeper deflects it away.
After a period of non-stop action, we've reached the first hydration break with both sides still scoreless.
Let's just hope the match carries on like this.
Guimarães is now the first Brazilian to miss a penalty in a men's World Cup match since Zico against France in 1986.
PENALTY SAVED
Following a wild, stuttered run-up, Bruno Guimarães' penalty is saved by Norway's Ørjan Nyland!
Ultimately, the placement simply wasn't there for Guimarães as Nyland dove down to his right.
PENALTY FOR BRAZIL
Matheus Cunha goes down following a mistimed slide-tackle in the box from Kristoffer Ajer.
After going to the monitor, the referee points to the spot!
GOAL RULED OUT
Norway found the back of the net inside three minutes. However, the assistant referee's flag was raised, meaning Patrick Berg's goal will not stand.
Talk about a fast start!
KICK-OFF
And we're underway in New York New Jersey Stadium!
The teams are heading out for the national anthems with kick-off soon to follow...
Stay tuned!
On the other end, Vinícius Júnior has been a revelation for Brazil in this tournament, with five goal contributions in four matches.
While defending Erling Haaland is a nightmare for any defender, Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhães has had a particularly tough time dealing with the Norwegian striker.
And here's how Norway will start the match.
Ready–
