Wolves begin a pivotal Championship season after relegation, seeking a swift return to the top flight. Cesar Peixoto is tasked with leading that push at the first attempt.
ExpressAndStar.com highlights five key dates after the fixture list was released.
The campaign starts at Molineux on Friday, August 14, with Blackburn the visitors live on Sky. Tony Mowbray is back at Rovers after a tough year in which Valerien Ismael was sacked in February. Michael O’Neill then kept them up in 20th, five points clear.
The first Black Country derby is on Saturday, September 19 at Molineux, the clubs’ first second-tier meeting since 2008. They last met in the league in 2021, and Wolves’ FA Cup win in 2024 preceded a push for a first league victory over Albion since 2011.
Boxing Day brings Swansea to Molineux. Either side of that, Wolves visit Norwich before Christmas, then travel to Watford on December 29 and Millwall on New Year’s Day.
The return derby is at the Hawthorns on Saturday, February 20, in a busy spell that also includes Bolton away three days earlier. Wolves’ 2024 FA Cup success there was their first win at the ground since 1996.
The season ends away to Derby on Saturday, May 1. The final home fixture is the previous week against QPR. Wolves hope to make the finale a celebration of a promotion charge.
