The transfer window has slammed shut for Premier League clubs to sign players, but departures are still possible with windows open elsewhere.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia are two notable windows still open for business, with their deadlines on September 12th and September 10th, respectively.

We’ve looked at five Premier League players who could still be sold this summer.

Andre Onana

Manchester United have agreed terms to loan Andre Onana to Trabzonspor in what could mark the end of a disappointing two-season spell at Old Trafford. Onana arrived from Inter Milan in a £43.9m deal in 2023, but has endured an error-prone period in the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim has since signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp, and the Belgian is expected to take the number one shirt. With AFCON on the horizon, Onana will not want to spend the season sitting on the sidelines.

Yves Bissouma

Yves Bissouma was heavily linked with a move to Fenerbahce after falling out of favour under new Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank. Reservations over the player’s professionalism reportedly scuppered a deal.

Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu said on Fenerbahce’s decision: “Fenerbahce was going to sign Bissouma. But he has an injury problem. He has a trial (problem). He has a nightlife (problem). He is a very good player, but you have to take a lot of risks to transfer him. They put a whole sheet of paper in front of Ali Koc about the player’s problems.”

Spurs may still look to offload the Mali international for a fee in the coming days, with Bissouma out of contract next summer.

Leandro Trossard

Leandro Trossard’s minutes at Arsenal this season are under threat following the club’s expensive recruitment drive. The summer additions of Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyokeres, and Noni Madueke have strengthened in attacking areas, leaving Trossard’s future in doubt.

The Belgian has made just one substitute appearance over the opening three gameweeks, and although Arsenal are insisting he won’t be sold, a significant offer could be tempting.

Raheem Sterling

Part of Chelsea’s bomb squad, Raheem Sterling has returned to the Blues this summer after a forgettable loan spell at Arsenal. A move failed to materialise during the summer, as Sterling sought to remain in London, where he is settled with his young family.

However, the 30-year-old’s stance could change as he faces a season on the sidelines without a move.

Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa was omitted from Liverpool’s Champions League squad this week in the latest snub by Arne Slot. The Italian has played just 113 minutes of Premier League football since arriving from Juventus in 2024 and could move on in search of game time.

He scored a crucial winner against Bournemouth in the club’s season-opener, but the arrival of Alexander Isak has added another obstacle in his path to first-team football. That 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha was selected ahead of Chiesa in the UCL squad is a clear message.
