The defender Jules Kounde is one of the FC Barcelona players who have seen their importance decline in the last few months. At the Blaugrana club, he has lost his starting spot, with Eric Garcia chosen by Hansi Flick to be the starter on the right-back position. In fact, he has not played even a single minute for the Catalan team for their last three games.

Meanwhile, he has also lost his starting spot in the French national team, not stepping on the pitch for their last two games. The Blues have another game against Belgium scheduled for tonight, and it remains to be seen whether Zinedine Zidane will put him in his starting lineup for this match.

However, despite his loss of form and prominence, his demand in the market remains quite high. A few weeks ago, he was being linked with the German giants Bayern Munich, but several sides from England are also reportedly interested in him.

This is clear from a report from SPORT, which claims that up to five Premier League sides are closely monitoring the French defender, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

Despite his poor form, these sides value the defender for his versatility, as he can play both on the flank and in the center of the backline, and experience. However, for now, there have been no negotiations between any of these clubs and the player, and no formal offers presented to Barcelona.

The Blaugrana club recently renewed his contract till 2030, and Jules Kounde himself has expressed his desire to continue playing for Barcelona. However, his performances in the coming few weeks will determine whether he remains at the Catalan club, or ends up joining another side, possibly one of these five Premier League sides, in January or in the next summer transfer window.
