Eligible for the England national team, Darko Gyabi appears eager to represent his country of origin, Ghana. The Hull City midfielder hasn’t forgotten his roots and is open to joining the Black Stars.
Here are five things you need to know about him:
- Born on February 18, 2004, Darko Gyabi is a 21-year-old midfielder who holds dual English and Ghanaian nationality.
- He was trained at Millwall and then Manchester City, which he joined in 2018. He played for the U18, U21, and U23 squads before signing his first professional contract with Leeds United in 2022.
- Although he didn’t feature for the U21s, Gyabi made five first-team appearances for Leeds before being loaned out twice to Plymouth Argyle, where he racked up 58 matches (1 goal, 3 assists).
- After his transfer to Hull City in September 2025, he has made 15 appearances (scoring once) for the Tigers in the Championship.
- Gyabi has represented England at U15, U16, U18, U19, U20, and U21 levels. He featured in the U20 World Cup in 2023, playing all four matches for the Young Lions against Tunisia, Uruguay, Iraq, and Italy.
