Flamengo routed Mirassol 5-1 at the Maião to remain second in the Brasileirão, while the hosts slipped from 15th to 16th.

In the 22nd minute, Jorge Andrés Carrascal Guado steered in from Gonzalo Plata's pass to put the visitors ahead.

After the restart, Luiz Araújo doubled the lead from Carrascal's cut-back (53.). Pedro then struck twice, first from close range after Ayrton Lucas's delivery (56.) and again on a fast break from Carrascal's through ball (66.). Substitute Samuel Lino added a fifth from Giorgian de Arrascaeta's pass (74.), before João Victor Carroll headed in a consolation from Reinaldo's cross (77.).

Agustín Rossi was sharp early on, tipping away Bruno Santos's header as Mirassol pushed for an opener. Walter also made stops before the interval but could not stem Fla's second half surge.
