Striker Yuri César will no longer play for Fortaleza after being sold by parent club Flamengo on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old will sign a five-year contract with Shabab Al-Ahli, from the United Arab Emirates, after a fee of $6m (R$31m) was agreed upon. Flamengo will also receive 20% of any future sale.
Yuri César has already signed his contract termination with Fortaleza and will not even face Atlético-MG on Sunday.
In the transaction, Fortaleza will receive about $280,000 (R$1.5m) for being a showcase club thanks to FIFA training compensation regulations.
Yuri César was recently involved in a controversy when he went to a nightclub with striker David, also from Fortaleza, in the middle of the very active COVID-19 pandemic crisis in Brazil.
Since his arrival, he scored five goals in 39 games at the club.
