Flamengo are interested in Botafogo midfielder Danilo, a Brazil World Cup call-up, but competition is intensifying as the European window approaches.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Milan and Atalanta have asked about Danilo in recent weeks, moving into the race for the Botafogo player.
That leaves Flamengo with a lengthy list of rivals. Alongside Milan, Atalanta and Palmeiras, Fulham, Manchester United and Zenit are also monitoring him.
Botafogo do not plan to ease talks, given his Brazil call-up. The club believe he could gain value during the World Cup, which starts in June.
The club are seeking around 40 million euros, approximately R$ 236 million, to sell Danilo. Both European and Brazilian transfer windows open only a few days before the World Cup begins.
