According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo could call up 17-year-old striker Josmar for Sunday’s clássico against Botafogo in the Campeonato Brasileiro, with Bruno Henrique suspended.

Bruno Henrique must serve an automatic ban after his third yellow card, shown in the 2-1 defeat to Cruzeiro on Saturday 22. He had earlier been booked against Palmeiras and Fluminense.

The teenager has trained with the senior group ahead of the derby and could make a matchday squad for the first time. He is vying for a place with Wallace Yan, currently the third-choice forward.

Josmar stood out for Avaí’s first team at the start of 2026. Flamengo signed the centre-forward for R$ 3.5 million on a three-year contract.

Since arriving, he has been a starter in the club’s Under-20 Libertadores campaign that ended as runners-up, scoring 14 goals and providing one assist in 28 matches. His form has caught the eye of head coach Leonardo Jardim.

Flamengo host Botafogo at the Maracanã on Sunday 30, with kick-off at 16:00 Brasília time, in the 25th round.
