Flamengo supporters chanted the name of Filipe Luís during Sunday’s medal presentation.

According to Globo.com, the club secured the Campeonato Carioca by beating Fluminense 5-4 on penalties.

Filipe had been dismissed after the 8-0 semi-final win against Madureira, despite an 11-0 aggregate.

That result had carried Flamengo into the final.

Leonardo Jardim was chosen to take over.
