Clashes broke out outside the Mineirão before Cruzeiro v Flamengo on Wednesday, with visiting fans confronted by police ahead of the Copa Libertadores last-16 first leg.
According to Globo.com, military police used pepper spray to disperse a crowd at one entrance, and footage showed at least one Flamengo supporter being struck with a baton.

Private security staff were also involved in the disturbance at the stadium.
On social media, visiting supporters reported difficulty getting into the ground.
The sides meet tonight in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores last 16. The return is set for Wednesday 19 at the Maracanã.
