They face River Plate of Argentina on the third of July, Lausanne of Switzerland on the eighth, then Benfica on the 11th.

The squad travelled almost at full strength. Only players who are or were at the World Cup stayed behind. Uruguay’s Arrascaeta, Varela and De la Cruz were eliminated on Friday, will take a few days off and are not expected to join the group in Portugal.

There are no new arrivals for the trip. Flamengo have not made any signings so far. Lorran and Rayan Lucas, who spent the first half of the year out on loan, will take part in the Algarve camp.
