Defending champions Flamengo began the 2026 Brasileirão with a 2-1 defeat at São Paulo on Wednesday at Morumbi, then handed the squad a day off.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the schedule had been set before the opener, so there were no activities at Ninho do Urubu on Thursday 29, with the group due back on Friday 30.
Training is planned at the CT on Friday morning, with the session set to start from 9h30, Brasília time.
After the first round, Flamengo sit 14th without a point, although the early table is congested with several sides level on points and goal difference.
Following two consecutive defeats this season, Filipe Luís’s team have a chance to respond with silverware when they face Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil on Sunday 1 at 16h, Brasília time, at Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília.
