Flamengo have four absentees for Lanús Recopa opener in Argentina

Flamengo begin their 2026 quest for another trophy on Thursday 19, visiting Lanús in Argentina for the Recopa Sudamericana first leg, with Filipe Luís missing four players.

Coluna Do Fla reports that the absentees are Jorginho, Wallace Yan, Saúl and Gonzalo Plata.

One midfielder remains on a club medical recovery programme, while a forward has reported muscle pain.

Saúl is still recovering from ankle surgery carried out at the start of the year. Gonzalo Plata is suspended for the Recopa after being sent off in the Copa Libertadores.

Kick-off is at 21:30 Brasília time at the Estádio Ciudad.

The return will be played at the Maracanã on 26 February.
