According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo have not approached Borussia Dortmund about signing Fábio Silva, despite prioritising a centre-forward in this transfer window. The Portuguese striker, 24, had been linked with the Rio club.

Silva joined Dortmund last season and impressed under head coach Niko Kovač. In 2025/26 he made 39 appearances, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.

A right-footed centre-forward developed at Porto, he has also featured for Wolverhampton, PSV, Anderlecht, Rangers and Las Palmas. He was a regular for Portugal’s youth teams and is seeking opportunities with the senior squad.

Flamengo plan to add three players in this window, a midfielder, a winger and a centre-forward. The board intend to recruit a young striker to share minutes with Pedro, plus a deputy for Arrascaeta.

While recruitment work continues, Flamengo turn to their next assignment in 2026. This Sunday they face Vitória at 19:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã, in the 22nd round of the Brasileirão.
