Flamengo host Independiente del Valle in the Copa Libertadores quarter-final second leg on Thursday, protecting a 2-0 advantage earned at altitude in Quito.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Leonardo Jardim’s side will reach the semi-finals if they win, draw or lose by one goal. A two-goal defeat would send the tie to penalties, while losing by three or more would mean elimination.
In the first leg, Independiente del Valle registered 10 shots to zero before the break, using the 2,850-metre altitude to pin Flamengo back. Even so, the visitors reached half-time without conceding.
After the interval, Flamengo were clinical, scoring twice from four attempts. Bruno Henrique struck 15 minutes into the second half, and Léo Pereira added the second on 29 minutes.
Kick-off at the Maracanã is at 21:30 Brasília time.
