According to Coluna Do Fla, seven Flamengo players joined their national teams for pre-World Cup friendlies during the FIFA window. Five featured, while Danilo and De La Cruz remained unused.

Brazil lost 1-2 to France, Léo Pereira played 90 minutes and Danilo was an unused substitute. England drew 1-1 with Uruguay, Arrascaeta played 87 minutes and Guillermo Varela completed 90, with De La Cruz again on the bench.

Croatia beat Colombia 2-1, Jorge Carrascal came on for 27 minutes. Morocco and Ecuador drew 1-1, Gonzalo Plata played the full match.

Three minutes into the second half against Morocco, John Yeboah found Plata in the box and the winger scored left-footed to put Ecuador ahead.
