Flamengo land in Rio after 1-0 Recopa first-leg loss to Lanús | OneFootball

Flamengo have returned to Rio after a 1-0 first-leg defeat to Lanús in the Recopa Sul-Americana. The squad arrived at Galeão International Airport at around seven thirty, Brasília time, on Friday 20.

According to Coluna Do Fla, there were no protests at the airport, with only onlookers and tourists observing the arrival.

The players were given the rest of the day off. They report back on Saturday 21 to begin preparations under Filipe Luís for the Campeonato Carioca semi-final against Madureira.

Flamengo are back on the pitch on Sunday 22 for the first leg of that semi-final, with kick-off at 20:00, Brasília time, at the Maracanã.

In search of their first title of the season, they then host Lanús on Thursday 26 in the decisive second leg of the Recopa at the Maracanã, starting at 21:30, Brasília time.

Trailing 1-0 from the opener, Flamengo must win by two or more goals to lift the trophy. If the aggregate score is level, the tie will be settled on penalties.
