According to the CIES Football Observatory, Flamengo rank 17th worldwide for revenue from academy player sales, ahead of several European heavyweights.
The Brazilian club have generated 285 million euros from homegrown sales since 2016.

They sit above Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Atlético Madrid and Arsenal in the standings.
Benfica top the list with 589 million euros. Ajax, Chelsea, Monaco and Sporting CP complete the top five.
Real Madrid and Lyon are next, followed by Manchester City, with Palmeiras ninth and Bayer Leverkusen 10th.
