Flamengo have had interest from Turkey in midfielder Robert Piris Da Motta.
The Rubro-Negro have already offloaded striker Lincoln to Japanese side Vissel Kobe this year, as well as selling midfielder Yuri César to United Arab Emirates outfit Shabab Al Ahli.
Those deals added approximately R$42m (€6.5m) to the Mengão’s coffers.
Piris Da Motta is currently on loan with Gençlerbirliği, and had has impressed since joining the Turkish club last September.
Although a holding midfielder by trade, the Paraguay international has contributed four goals in 20 league games.
The loan agreement includes an option to buy for €3.5m, but Besiktas tried to swoop in and buy the player for €1.8m.
According to a report on the Torcedores website (via Gazeta Esportiva), Flamengo dismissed that offer out of hand.
While Gençlerbirliği have shown no urgency to take up their option on the former San Lorenzo man, it seems certain that other clubs in the country will fancy acquiring his services.
Piris Da Motta cost Flamengo €4m when he arrived from Argentina in 2018.
